Underground Trump Supporters:
Insane Clown Posse & Juggalos
Washington has never had a shortage of political protests, but Saturday’s lineup (the 16th) looks to be particularly raucous.
The Big Mother
It’s being called “The Mother of All Rallies” and it will be held in The Washington Mall.
This mother-of-a-rally is for those who support President Donald Trump.
A short distance away, a group of anti-Trump demonstrators will gather.
As part of their show of support for Trump, the rally will include a concert.
And this is where is gets really weird.
Apparently, thousands of so-called juggalos will be there grooving to the beat. Juggalos are fans of the rap group Insane Clown Posse. Look out Kanye.
The FBI has classified the group of juggalos as a “loosely organized hybrid gang.”
The juggalos are opposing this classification actively.
Over 25 years of performing, the Insane Clown Posse rap duo, have cultivated an intensely loyal following.
There happens to be an annual Gathering of the Juggalos music festival which draws thousands. It’s going into it’s 18th year. Most bands should be so lucky.
A Bad Rap
However, the juggalos have gotten a bad rap they say.
In 2011, a report by the Justice Department’s Gang Task Force put the juggalos, in the same classification as gangs like the Bloods and the Crips. Yikes.
The rap group and its fans claim to be a nonviolent community subject to largely class-based discrimination by law enforcement.
In 2014, the Insane Clown Posse, along with the ACLU, sued the FBI. They sought to change the classification, but no luck so far.
On Saturday though, at the “Mother of All Rallies,” police say they’re ready for the protests, which are nothing new in the nation’s capital.
