Writer Tips by Margaret Atwood Author of “The Handmaid’s Tale”

writer tips margaret atwood

Margaret Atwood is the author of a novel she wrote and successfully sold in the 1980s entitled… The Handmaid’s Tale.

Yes, she’s the original creator of Offred and Serena our beloved heroine and semi-villain… or at least the wife of the villain.
Here Margaret Atwood shares some of her general techniques
for how she come up with and proceed with ideas for her books.

Again, below, Atwood offers some real insight into her process of writing which I have to admit… sounds very familiar to my own.

It’s comforting to know that such an accomplished author like Atwood doesn’t seem to have a regular routine or even a smooth-ish road to writing her work.

Interviews like this, by amazingly successful writers are invaluable to other writers. Just listen to some of the stories she tells. There is a wealth of knowledge here. Please enjoy and I wish you many imaginative tales.
