Meditation On The Meaning of the DEVIL Card In Tarot – Set To Music

Posted on July 19, 2023June 17, 2025 By Writers Nexus No Comments on Meditation On The Meaning of the DEVIL Card In Tarot – Set To Music

 I like the tarot.

I’m not an expert, but I sometimes use them to read for clients and to find answers for myself.

In the spirit of engaging our spirits with something greater than ourselves, I’ve created a series of short meditations based on the meanings of the Major Arcana from the traditional tarot card deck.

I’ve set them to music too. I hope you enjoy them.

TRANSCRIPT OF THE MEDITATION ON THE DEVIL CARD OF TAROT

The Devil Card.

The Devil Card expresses the realm of taboo.

The culturally rejected wilderness of the human spirit. The undigested shadow side of humanity.

The Devil is the darkness in our subconscious minds.

The devil card suggests our wild and dark nature is deep at the core of our being and cannot be gotten rid of.

This is a good thing. It creates passion and energy in a human soul.

We must observe our primal desires and empower ourselves to be disciplined, yet at the same time find true freedom within our souls. The Devil card warns that you may be enjoying creating chaos a little too much and resisting positive logic, your sense of humor. You may be getting a bit twisted.

Your motive may be vengeance, but you are simply being an irritant. So stop it.

Stop being juvenile.

It’s time to suppress or ignore those immature impulses. In the long run, they will cost you. And it could get quite expensive.

The devil card advises you to show some spunk. Being disciplined doesn’t mean being passive.

You can be direct, in a positive fashion, and assert yourself eloquently without raising the hackles of others.

Try expressing your true emotions as gracefully as possible. And see what happens.

The Devil Card.
