The Meaning of THE MAGICIAN Tarot Card

Posted on March 30, 2023February 3, 2026 By Writers Nexus No Comments on The Meaning of THE MAGICIAN Tarot Card

I’m not an expert, but I really enjoy using the tarot. I sometimes read the cards for my clients, as well as, to find answers for myself.

To read the tarot well, I believe it’s a combination of using your intuitive sense, understanding the intention of each tarot card and connecting energetically with their client.

In short, TAROT is an art form.

It seems the earliest references to tarot date to the 1440s and 1450s. This is contrary to the general assumption that the tarot are thousands of years old.

The tarot started as a card game. Tarot cards used the standard Italian four face cards—king, queen, knight, and knave—for a total of 56 cards. The fool card was a wild card and there were 21 trump cards.

Tarot is a game of trick taking.

Even though there are many, mostly minor variations to the rules of the game, it hasn’t changed much since the 15th century.

It’s interesting to note that the tarot only became a tool of psychics, fortune tellers and the occult in the 19th century. The current day tarot has nothing to do with the medieval tarot cards.

So, I’ve created this series of short meditations based on the meanings of the Major Arcana as a creative way to share their significance.

I’ve set them to music too. I hope you enjoy them.

TRANSCRIPT of The Meaning of The Magician Card

The Magician card….

The Magician card is truly magical.

It informs you to transform your life that something is coming that will help you truly heal and become new and whole again.

A fresh life is on the horizon. The Magician signifies the transformative power of alchemy, changing base metals into gold. You now have the opportunity to do that in your life.

Keep your imagination open and visualize yourself manifesting what you want in a unique way guided by the divine.

However, the Magician card suggests you be careful that you’re not working against yourself.

Perhaps you are judging your ideas as too scandalous or too rogue.

Perhaps you are uncomfortable taking a leadership position.

Know that you are ready for change. Have the courage of your convictions and speak your truth.

The Magician card is advising you that you have faith in your innate creativity and ability to manifest.

Act as if you are completely open minded and curious and know that you cannot fail.

It will bring freshness and clarity to any task you take on.

The Magician card is saying trust your intuition and act in the moment.

There’s no reason to hold yourself back. Your natural urges are exactly what’s needed now.

Step forward. Act. Into the grand change the magician is encouraging you to do.
