I like the tarot. I’m not an expert, but I sometimes use them to read for clients and to find answers for myself.
To read the tarot well, I believe it’s a combination of using your intuitive sense, understanding the intention of each tarot card and connecting energetically with their client.
In short, TAROT is an art form.
It seems the earliest references to tarot date to the 1440s and 1450s. This is contrary to the general assumption that the tarot are thousands of years old.
The tarot started as a card game. Tarot cards used the standard Italian four face cards—king, queen, knight, and knave—for a total of 56 cards. The fool card was a wild card and there were 21 trump cards.
Tarot is a game of trick taking.
Even though there are many, mostly minor variations to the rules of the game, it hasn’t changed much since the 15th century.
It’s interesting to note that the tarot only became a tool of psychics, fortune tellers and the occult in the 19th century. The current day tarot has nothing to do with the medieval tarot cards.
So, I’ve created this series of short meditations based on the meanings of the Major Arcana as a creative way to share their significance. I’ve set them to music too. I hope you enjoy them.

The challenge of the Hermit card is to be able to recognize a teacher in humble disguise.
The Hermit is a font of mysterious knowledge, which means it will take time to acquire this wisdom of life.
Take to deep contemplation and meditation. Commune with nature and with animals. That is what the Hermit is saying.
A cautionary tale with the Hermit is the resistance to your own evolution toward a higher level of understanding and wisdom of life.
It can be a lonely path, this is true. Your fear of loneliness is preventing you from truly owning the mysterious knowledge of life.
It is there for everyone. Everyone willing to seek it and to absorb it.
It is an ancient shamanic method to face your fears by relaxing and being open.
Letting the energy of fear dissipate like steam from your body.
More than just feeling the fear and doing it anyway, is the fact you’re actually letting go of the fear as you do it.
Expand through the fear toward knowledge. and understanding.
The Hermit card suggests that you think things through very carefully.
Demands on you may have been very high lately, and you need some time for reflection.
You may have grasped the overall understanding of your circumstances, but you need time to filter them and integrate them into the fine tuning of your personality and your spirit.
The irony of the Hermit is that you must understand that being alone is what you need to get through this period.
And that facing your loneliness can only make you stronger and smarter.
The Hermit can help lead you there.
