I like the tarot. I’m not an expert, but I have used them to read for clients and even to answer questions for myself.
In the spirit of engaging our spirits with something greater than ourselves, I’ve created a series of short meditations that include the meaning of the Major Arcana of the traditional tarot card deck.
I’ve set them to music too. I hope you enjoy them.
TRANSCRIPT OF THE MEANING OF THE DEATH CARD
The death card is not always about literal death.
It may represent the death of something else, like a project, plan, or relationship.
The death card also points to the time of harvest, where it’s time to reap what you’ve sown.
The death card signifies that you may be in for a long haul. And the time is not ready for the cord to be cut.
You will need to persist. and endure whatever it is you’re facing right now.
You may not see an end in sight because it’s not quite time yet for closure.
This is the cautionary side of this card.
Be patient with your current circumstances without resigning yourself to a negative outcome.
In the meantime, work at becoming wiser and more mellow, sweeter and more nourishing, as you can’t harvest until the fruit is ripe.
The death card advises you to detach from the old order.
You may want to complete unfinished business.
As it’s time to move on, you can cut the cords that have bound you to old ways and outdated conventions.
And this way, free yourself for incoming light.
Do not allow nostalgia or old loyalties hold you back.
Be willing to go through whatever it takes to get where you want to be.
