I’m always on the look out for wonderful art and creative tips in my internet travels.
One day I discovered this youtube video on how to spot a Jackson Pollock fake.
It seems an original Jackson Pollock – when he was doing the paint splashing technique – can go for as much as $100 MILLION. I can see why someone would take the risk of forging one.
Remember the movie based on his life from the early 2000s?
It starred Ed Harris and was titled “Pollock.”
I loved it and think it captured the life of a starving artist quite accurately.
Take a look at the video and listen to someone who is tasked with authenticating whether a Pollock is authentic or a phony.
Do you think Jackson Pollack would like THIS about the internet?
